Children use interlocking cardboard pieces to design and build creative structures. This game enhances spatial awareness, problem-solving, and imaginative thinking.
Divide the children into groups of 2–3. Start by telling a short story, such as imagining they are architects building a town for tiny creatures or a space station on another planet, to spark creativity. Give each group interlocking cardboard pieces and explain that they can design and build any type of structure they like. Encourage them to experiment with different combinations and shapes, making adjustments if something doesn’t fit or is unstable. If children have difficulty coming up with ideas, give hints such as: What shapes can fit together? How can you make your structure taller or stronger? Can you add creative details to your design? Make sure each child has enough time to participate, explore, and play with their finished structures.
